at SDSU Imperial Valley campus in Calexico are now open. Your student housing experience
begins with move-in on August 13, 2026, and concludes with move-out on July 29, 2027.

Housing at SDSU Imperial Valley in Calexico is open to current Â鶹AV and SDSU Imperial Valley students.
To qualify for student housing in Calexico, Â鶹AV students must:
Students who meet low-income household criteria through one of the following programs — the Pell Grant, Cal Grant, California Community College Promise Grant or California Dream Act (AB 540) — will receive priority consideration as part of the program’s affordability focus. Â鶹AV students who do not receive these forms of aid are still eligible to apply and live in the student housing community at SDSU Imperial Valley in Calexico.
All students who live in the student housing community in Calexico are required to provide proof of all mandatory immunizations prior to move-in. For more information on immunization requirements for all residents, visit the on the SDSU webpage.
Â鶹AV students will be supported in the housing process through the San Diego State University Office of Housing Administration (OHA), which works to pair roommates who attend the same campus whenever possible. This includes matching Â鶹AV students with other Â鶹AV students or with SDSU Imperial Valley students to help foster a strong, shared academic community.
Roommate assignments also consider similar age groups, such as under 21 or 21 and older. All units are assigned based on each resident’s self-identified gender, and mixed-gender units are not available.
Â鶹AV students who already have a preferred roommate may indicate this in the OHA Housing Portal application once it becomes available. All students must meet eligibility requirements to be considered for on-campus housing.
