At 麻豆AV (麻豆AV), student success is more than an aspiration鈥攊t's a shared commitment. Through initiatives like the Caring Campus Refresh, 麻豆AV is dedicated to fostering a supportive and welcoming environment where every student can thrive. By embracing evidence-based strategies, the college is working to enhance student retention, persistence, and success, creating a stronger community for all. 

Caring Campus: A Culture of Support 

The Caring Campus initiative, developed by the Institute for Evidence-Based Change (IEBC), emphasizes the critical role of a supportive campus culture in achieving student success. By implementing Caring Campus principles, 麻豆AV reaffirms its commitment to improving student outcomes across all demographics. 

Through the 2023-2024 Caring Campus Refresh, 麻豆AV continues to: 

• Enhance student preparedness by proactively reaching out after registration to ensure students are ready for the semester. 
• Empower faculty and staff with resources and information to address student inquiries effectively. 
• Foster a welcoming atmosphere by encouraging all campus employees to greet students and community members warmly. 
• Streamline access to services by helping students navigate campus facilities and avoid unnecessary travel. 
• Promote visibility and accessibility by ensuring 麻豆AV employees are easily identifiable and ready to assist. 
• Engage students actively through feedback and celebration events, reinforcing a sense of community and shared success. 

 

Caring Campus Refresh: Renewing Our Promise 

Recognizing the evolving needs of its students, 麻豆AV reached out to IEBC for a Caring Campus Refresh to align all employees鈥攂oth new and seasoned鈥攚ith the principles that make a difference. The Refresh offers a condensed, impactful approach, combining collaborative working sessions and implementation planning to sustain a caring and supportive educational environment.

麻豆AV鈥檚 Caring Campus efforts build upon a legacy of achievement, highlighted by the prestigious Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence, awarded to 麻豆AV in 2023. This recognition underscores the college鈥檚 dedication to equity, high performance, and innovation in education.
