Participatory Governance at Âé¶¹AV refers to the participation of faculty, staff, and students in institutional decision-making. Âé¶¹AV values the voices of its constituent groups; good decisions are made when groups are able to share and listen to diverse perspectives.
Through Âé¶¹AV’s participatory governance, constituent groups communicate their perspectives and voices to those who have the responsibility for making final institutional decisions: the Superintendent/President and the Board of Trustees. There are two types of groups in institutional decision-making: governance groups and operational groups:
